Bengals’ Joe Burrow shows off diamond-covered chain after win: ‘Make too much money to have fake ones’

Joe Burrow and the Bengals were rocking AFC champion hats and t-shirts after their 27-24 overtime victory over the Chiefs. However, the only accessory anyone noticed after the game was the bling the Bengals quarterback was rocking.

Burrow was originally spotted pregame wearing a jewel-encrusted “JB9” chain, which represented his initials and jersey number, nine.

Burrow’s chain drew a lot of attention to the point that he was asked about it by reporters during his postgame news conference. He made sure to let everyone know that the jewels on the pendant were real diamonds.

“They’re definitely real,” Burrow said. “I make too much money to have fake ones.”

Burrow was certainly pleased that his chain drew so much attention. However, he explained that there is no special meaning behind it.

“There’s no story to it,” Burrow said of the chain. “It’s just I think it’s pretty cool.”

Next up for Burrow and the Bengals will be the Super Bowl. Has he thought about what he’ll be wearing ahead of Cincinnati’s first Super Bowl appearance since 1989?

“I guess we’ll have to figure something out,” he said. “I have not really thought about it.”

Burrow will certainly come up with something fashionable for the big game. However, it may be difficult for him to one-up his outfit from Sunday, which he said he put a lot of thought into.

“This is probably my favorite outfit of the year,” he said. “I was excited about this one.”
