Google reviews for painters and decorators

Decorating is about the finish, and customers choose on trust and taste. A tidy site, clean lines and being left with a spotless room are what people remember and what they write about. Photos are your biggest advantage: a finished room says more than any description, and reviews that mention neat cutting-in and careful protection of floors and furniture help the next customer picture what they will get.

What customers search for

These are the kinds of searches that bring painters and decorators their calls. Your profile and your reviews decide who shows up.

  • painter and decorator near me
  • house painting [your town]
  • wallpaper hanging
  • exterior house painting
  • kitchen cabinet spraying

When to ask for a review

Ask at the final walk-through, once the last coat is dry and the customer has seen the finished rooms. You can gently invite them to mention the type of work done, so the review helps other customers searching for the same thing.

Set up your Google profile properly

  • Choose Painter or Painting contractor as your main category, and add Wallpaper installer or others if you offer them.
  • Add clear, well-lit before and after photos for each type of work, with the customer's permission.
  • Split interior and exterior work in your services list. They are different searches and different seasons.
  • Mention how you protect floors and furniture, and how you tidy up. It reassures customers who dread the mess.
  • Post seasonal updates: exterior work in dry months, interiors in winter.

One thing to avoid

Customers will happily send photos of the result. Invite photos if you like, but never offer anything in return, and do not edit or remove a lukewarm review.
